What an ATAS subscription buys

ATAS is software for analysing volume and order flow. Start, Plus, Pro and Ultra determine which tools you can use, how many instruments you can analyse at once and which data connections the software permits. Buying a plan does not open a brokerage account or grant exchange-data entitlements.

The software licensor is ATAS SIA in Riga, Latvia, registration number 40203154738. Your broker or exchange supplies the trading account under its own terms, while your data provider governs the feed. Before comparing plans, write down the market, data type and task you need: learning to read charts, analysing live activity, or also sending orders through a connected account. That gives you a concrete requirement against which to judge each upgrade.

Licence prices and billing periods

These are software-licence prices in euros, excluding VAT. The annual column shows the charge for a full year.

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billingLifetime
Start€0FreeNo licence purchase
Plus€24.95€239.40€999
Pro€69.95€479.40€1,799
Ultra€89.95€599.40€1,999

The annual plans are advertised at monthly equivalents of €19.95 for Plus, €39.95 for Pro and €49.95 for Ultra. You pay for the year; those figures are not month-to-month subscription rates. Three-month terms are also offered at €71.80, €179.80 and €239.80 respectively.

EU residents pay VAT at their country's rate. The licence agreement also provides for US taxes where the supplier is required to collect them. Check the amount before paying, then budget separately for data and trading costs.

Plan limits that affect your workflow

Start includes Footprint, Smart DOM and Smart Tape, with two unique instruments and three indicators per chart. It is a useful starting point for learning volume analysis. Plus raises those limits to six instruments and six indicators, adding tools such as Big Trades and Market Replay. Both plans show futures with a 15-minute delay and do not allow live futures-data connections.

Pro permits live futures and stock connections, with three active connections, 20 instruments and 12 indicators per chart. Ultra removes those caps and adds specialised tools. Broader software access still depends on the data supplied by your connection.

Treat add-ons separately from the core plan. Ultra's MBO Bundle is offered as a bonus until 27 November 2026 and works through Rithmic. Big Trades history is currently limited to seven days on Plus, Pro and Ultra; the 30-day and 90-day histories advertised for the higher tiers are marked as forthcoming.

Market data and the trading account need their own budget

Live futures or stock analysis needs both a software plan that permits the connection and an account or data subscription with suitable entitlements. The dxFeed connector, for example, uses a separate data subscription. Exchange coverage, book depth and historical data depend on that feed. Brokerage and exchange charges, execution terms and margin requirements belong to the trading account.

Real-time crypto data are available on the free plan, but the Crypto Data connector covers only Binance, Bybit and Phemex, with limited book depth. A supported exchange-account API connection provides deeper data and features according to the connection.

Check the exact instrument, data permissions and order-routing capability beforehand. CQG's instructions, for example, require the broker to enable ATAS as AdvancedTS. A connector's presence in the list does not establish account-opening eligibility in every country.

The free trial and cancellation before billing

Start is free without a time limit or card linking. A paid-plan trial lasts 14 days, is available once per user and requires card or PayPal verification. A small verification charge may be taken and refunded. Unless you cancel before expiry, the trial converts to a paid subscription on the billing cycle you selected.

The cancellation instructions offer two routes: Stop Trial from the gear icon in your Personal Area, or Disable auto renewal on the Payment Methods page. Complete the short survey. Cancellation ends the trial and returns the account to Start.

Before activating it, note the end date and choose a task to evaluate: your instrument's feed, a Footprint view, or Replay on compatible data. That gives the subscription decision a practical basis. Cancelling renewal during an already paid term keeps the plan active until the next payment date; it is a separate action from requesting a refund.

Windows, Mac and hardware requirements

Classic was developed for Windows and lists Windows 10 or later among its requirements. ATAS X is a separate Beta environment for Windows 10 or later and macOS Tahoe or later on compatible Macs. ATAS says it remains under development and is not a complete replica of Classic. If a particular module is essential to your workflow, check that it is available in the version you intend to install. Check the exact model against Apple's Tahoe list as well: ATAS lists a broader range of older Macs, so the production year alone is insufficient.

The Windows minimums include 8 GB RAM, 80 GB free storage, a graphics card with 4 GB VRAM and internet of at least 30 Mbps. Processor and graphics requirements also apply, including Vulkan for Heatmap. Workload varies with charts, loaded history and modules.

Assess compatibility using a small workspace with the data you actually need. Changing versions or buying a higher plan does not replace checking your hardware and connection.

Refunds and Lifetime terms affect the commitment

The pricing page advertises a full refund if you change your mind within 14 days of the first payment. Section 5 of the licence agreement uses different language, leaving the refund decision to the supplier. Keep the purchase terms and contact support within the advertised window rather than treating a refund as automatic.

Lifetime is a one-off payment for a perpetual licence subject to the agreement. The agreement allows service termination and does not guarantee that every feature will remain available, updated or maintained. Data and trading charges may continue after that payment.

If you are still evaluating your workflow, a long commitment should follow an established need. Price alone is not a reason to choose a plan: identify which limits actually obstruct your work and how long you reasonably expect to use the software.

Choose for the task, then practise

Use Start to assess basic Footprint learning. Consider Plus if you need Replay and additional crypto-analysis tools. For live futures or stock data, evaluate Pro together with the separate feed cost. Ultra becomes relevant when Pro's caps or a specific missing tool obstruct the workflow you have defined.

Continue with the Footprint and order-flow guide and the ATAS review. Practise with suitable data on a training account before routing live orders. Simulation does not necessarily reproduce slippage or partial fills, and order-flow analysis cannot guarantee profits or prevent losses in leveraged trading.

About the provider

ATAS is desktop software for volume and order-flow analysis, combining Footprint charts, order-book tools and practice features. Start is free; Plus, Pro and Ultra expand the tools and limits. Live futures and stock data require Pro or Ultra and a suitable broker or data-provider connection. ATAS X is available in Beta for Windows and macOS. The software licence is separate from a trading account.
