TradersPost vs 3Commas: compare the current v2 route
Compare TradersPost signal routing with the 3Commas v2 route built with WunderTrading, including account scope, costs, permissions, migration checks and exits.

Identify the version and existing exposure first
3Commas v1 was deactivated on September 11, 2026. Its official notice warns that exchange orders can remain live without v1 management. The successor, v2, was built with WunderTrading and requires a new account, fresh connections and manual strategy rebuilding.
If you used the previous platform, start at the exchange. Record balances, positions and pending orders, including protective orders. Assign management of each before choosing new software. Creating an account elsewhere does not transfer responsibility for an existing trade.
For a new user, compare the current login route and the tools available there. TradersPost routes signals to supported accounts; current WunderTrading documentation describes Signal Bot for crypto execution. Assess both on the same task rather than comparing an old feature list with a new subscription.
Differences to check before connecting an account
Scroll the table horizontally to read every column.
| Decision | v2 route and WunderTrading | |
|---|---|---|
| Shared task | Receive signal and submit order | Signal Bot receives signal and submits order |
| Scope to verify | Accounts and assets per connector | Crypto route and current exchange connection |
| Configuration unit | Strategy and account subscription | Bot, API connection and execution settings |
| Relevant cost document | TradersPost plan and capacity | Current account terms and WunderTrading plans |
| Execution evidence | Destination-account order and fill | Connected-exchange order and fill |
WunderTrading documents the successor platform's tools. Its pages do not establish the entitlement, promotion or bot allowance of every account migrated from 3Commas. Record the product shown at login and what the personal subscription includes before building an ongoing process around it.
Choose the financial instrument before the bot family
Routing signals to stocks, options or exchange-traded futures is a different requirement from running crypto automation. For TradersPost, verify the exact connector and asset class. Crypto spot support does not establish perpetual-futures support; the public service page still labels crypto futures as coming soon.
On the WunderTrading route, inspect the exchange and product you actually intend to use. An exchange name in navigation does not establish support for every bot, coin or order type across that exchange. Distinguish spot, derivatives and subaccounts, and establish that the API permission targets the intended destination.
If the task is one TradingView signal entering and exiting a position, compare Signal Bot with TradersPost signal routing first. WunderTrading plans also distinguish capacity for different bot families. Availability of a bot family does not establish that an old strategy preserves its meaning when moved into it.
Rebuild the intended behaviour before entering settings
Write what the strategy should do without relying on names of old interface controls. Define the entry event, whether adding to a position is permitted, the maximum total exposure and the instruction ending a cycle. Include the expected response when a balance or position already exists from an earlier run.
TradersPost separates the signal message from the account subscription's settings. Signal Bot requires an exchange connection and rules for processing source alerts. Use the chosen product's message template. There is no basis to expect an identifier, destination or JSON payload from a previous service to remain valid at a new destination.
If the rules increase size after an adverse move, calculate the sum of all planned additions. Familiar action names can conceal a different total budget. Prepare a quantity-after-each-step worksheet and compare it with the test account. This verifies meaning and exposure without assuming that the strategy will make money.
Separate the balance assigned to this bot from funds already allocated elsewhere. Two bots can each assume access to the same money despite looking valid individually. In the migration worksheet, assign each bot its account, funding currency and planned maximum exposure. Check the combined total before enabling everything, and avoid moving settings solely because a plan has a familiar name.
Useful acceptance testing includes an exit and a failure
Use a test environment separated from live funds and confirm the connected account on every screen. Test one entry, a full exit and a message that should not open a trade. Add a duplicate-signal scenario and an exit arriving after an entry failed. The aim is to identify unexpected behaviour before linking real money.
Compare the signal timestamp, recorded action, requested size and destination-account state. Keep the expected outcome beside the actual outcome. If they disagree, reduce the scenario to one event. Avoid running both platforms against the same account to investigate a discrepancy.
Built-in TradersPost Paper uses fill rules that differ from live markets, including trading hours and limit orders. Successful simulation does not establish live prices or liquidity. We did not run a bot or benchmark performance here; this is a proposed sequence to carry out in the selected route.
Separate subscription cost, execution fees and capacity
TradersPost capacity depends partly on connected accounts and asset classes. WunderTrading plans distinguish positions, API accounts and bot capacity. Establish what consumes a unit and what happens on a downgrade or when paid access ends. A free-plan headline cannot answer every cost question.
One example needs a separate fee check: WunderTrading advertises Premium capabilities for Hyperliquid trading without a separate subscription, but states a 0.035% builder fee per trade. In a hypothetical calculation, USD1,000 of executed value produces USD0.35 for that component. If entry and exit each have that value, the component totals USD0.70 before exchange fees, spread, slippage and funding where applicable.
Do not transfer that example to another exchange or assume a migrated user's entitlement. Compare the actual billing period and commitment, then add signal-source and data costs. For TradersPost routing, use the plan guide to define required capacity.
Trading permission still carries loss exposure
WunderTrading documentation requires withdrawal access to be disabled on exchange API keys. Use a separate key for the service and account, inspect reading and trading permissions, and apply IP restrictions where the exchange and connector support them. A key without withdrawal rights can still open or close positions and realise losses.
TradersPost also describes trading access without money-transfer capability. That distinction helps review permissions; it does not protect against an incorrect decision or unwanted order. Set exposure limits in the account and operating process, and establish who can change the rules.
During a transition, identify connections still needed to manage positions. Remove unnecessary old permissions after assigning management. Avoid publishing keys, alert destinations or screenshots containing access identifiers to obtain help. A timestamp, symbol and order outcome usually describe an incident without exposing those credentials.
Plan for interruption before enabling automation
Decide who handles an event where the signal arrived but the exchange shows no exit. Inspect positions and orders directly, and retain account access independent of the bot dashboard. A previous successful event cannot prove that the next one was sent or filled.
Before sending a replacement, establish whether the exchange already received the first instruction. A rejected order, a working order and a partial fill require different responses. When changing tools, record the last event handled by each system so an entry already executed is not repeated.
When leaving a tool, separate blocking fresh entries, managing exposure and cancelling subscription renewal. Before removing a connection, decide how protective instructions dependent on the software will be handled. Verify exchange state after the change and record what remains under manual management. A billing change is not an instruction to close a position.
Questions before migration or signup
Do old orders disappear when an API key is removed?
Removing authorization is not confirmation that orders or positions closed. Inspect them at the exchange and plan management before removing the connection.
Can older 3Commas pricing comparisons guide this purchase?
They do not establish current product terms. Check the plan displayed in the account, its entitlement and its billing document. This article supplies no coupon or promised migration benefit.
Will the same strategy produce identical results in both tools?
There is no such guarantee. Timing, order type, size and exit handling can alter execution despite a similar idea. Compare events and exposure before comparing financial outcomes.
What should I choose for straightforward automation?
For a supported account with existing signals, assess TradersPost and the operating guide. For crypto through v2, verify the exchange, account permissions and current bot. If the need is to express conditions in words, also read the Capitalise.ai comparison. Choose around the verified task rather than the length of a marketing feature list.
