What FTMO offers
FTMO offers a trading evaluation process: you pay for a product, meet set trading objectives, and then move on to the FTMO Trader stage. Today we read three official FAQ pages: who can join, payment methods, and how to become an FTMO Trader. This page summarises what they say, so you can check these points before you pay. Trading leveraged instruments involves high risk, and paying for the evaluation does not guarantee any profit or payout.
What the "who can join" page says
According to the page, FTMO accepts clients globally apart from the exceptions listed there, and no specific qualifications are required. All clients must be over 18. The exceptions list is long and includes, among others, Iran, Syria, Myanmar, North Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Venezuela and specific regions of Ukraine. Israel is not mentioned on the page, neither in the exceptions nor anywhere else. Israel not being mentioned is not confirmation that Israeli residents are accepted.
Which ID documents are requested
According to the page on becoming an FTMO Trader, before the account agreement is signed FTMO asks for an ID document: a passport or national ID card. Concluding the agreement depends on completing the identification process. The page does not list a proof-of-address requirement and does not state a processing time. It also does not refer specifically to an Israeli ID card, so it is worth preparing a valid passport. Note that this step comes after the evaluation process, so checking with FTMO is worthwhile even before your first payment.
How to pay
According to the payment methods page, you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club and Discover cards, and by Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut Pay, instantly and with no fee. PayPal and Skrill are instant with a 3% fee. Crypto payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether or USDC takes up to 24 hours with a 3% fee. Bank transfer takes 2 to 5 business days with varying fees. The page does not mention shekels.
How to confirm your account will be accepted
The pages we quoted are what FTMO publishes today, and they can change. Only FTMO can confirm that Israeli residents are accepted, during sign-up and identity verification. Before depositing, contact customer support, state that you are an Israeli resident, and keep the answer in writing. Also read the full terms linked at the bottom of this page, not only our summary. Even after the account is open, come back to these pages from time to time, because terms get updated. Whether the service suits you is your decision, and this page is not investment advice.
Is Israel on FTMO's exceptions list?
No. Israel is not mentioned on the "who can join" page. That is not confirmation that Israeli residents are accepted.
What is FTMO's minimum age?
All clients must be over 18.
Can I pay FTMO in crypto?
Yes. According to FTMO you can pay in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether or USDC, with a 3% fee and processing of up to 24 hours.
