FxPro vs HFM: Platforms, Accounts and Comparable Commission Units
Compare CFD accounts, TradingView connections, cTrader versus HFM Zero costs, overnight funding and entity-specific conditions.

What are you comparing?
FxPro and HFM offer forex and CFD trading. The brand alone does not define the cost: the account, platform, instrument and entity determine the conditions. A practical distinction is that FxPro documents order execution through TradingView, while HFM documents TradingView charts inside WebTrader. These are different workflows.
For MT4 or MT5 users, the account structure is the starting point. For traders already using cTrader or seeking execution from TradingView, the connection route matters. Start with the FxPro review and HFM review, then select a specific account to compare.
Spread-inclusive versus commission accounts
FxPro Standard on MT4/5 lists major-FX spreads from 1.2 pips. Raw+ on the global table separates spreads from commission, while cTrader uses a USD-notional commission calculation. Account offerings can differ by entity, so a global option should not be assumed available in every region.
HFM Premium and Pro list no separate FX execution commission; Zero combines lower spreads with commission. A spread from zero does not mean zero cost, and a starting spread is not an average. Compare the same pair, trading period and size, then check that the account supports the intended workflow.
Why USD35 per million is not always USD3.50 per lot
FxPro cTrader calculates FX and spot-metals commission at USD35 per USD1 million traded, per side. Trade notional is converted to USD first, and commission is then converted to the account currency when necessary. A trade of EUR100,000 is therefore not necessarily USD100,000 of notional. The conversion rate at exit can also change.
HFM Zero lists USD6 round turn per 100,000 base units for FX. The announcement discussed in the review describes collecting the whole MT4/MT5 commission at opening. USD3 per side is an arithmetic equivalent, not necessarily the actual collection schedule. A useful comparison preserves both the measurement unit and the trade sides.
A transparent cost illustration
Assume a EUR100,000 EUR/USD trade, a hypothetical unchanged exchange rate of USD1.10 per euro, a USD account and a hypothetical 0.2-pip spread. FxPro commission notional is USD110,000: USD3.85 per side, or USD7.70 round turn. Adding USD2 of spread produces USD9.70 before other costs.
In the same illustration, HFM Zero commission is USD6 round turn; adding that same hypothetical spread produces USD8. These are calculations, without live quotes or a promise that either spread will be offered. Exchange rates, spreads, contract size and account currency can change the result. Overnight funding and slippage are excluded.
TradingView: embedded charts or execution?
FxPro publishes instructions for connecting a supported account to TradingView and placing orders from it. Verify account and instrument support; the TradingView subscription, market data and broker account are separate components. Chart access does not prove that a particular order is supported through the connection.
The HFM documentation examined concerns charts inside WebTrader. It does not establish an HFM account connection to TradingView’s Trading Panel. Traders with an existing workflow should distinguish alerts, charts and execution, and check order handling, stop amendments and order history in practice mode before risking money.
Overnight positions and other costs
At both companies, spreads and commission are only part of the cost. Positions held overnight may incur a charge or credit according to instrument and direction, with multiple-day calculations on specified dates. Swap-free arrangements may have separate conditions or charges. An intraday trade and a week-long position are different cost scenarios.
FxPro also documents funding conditions, including possible third-party charges and an exception for some e-wallet withdrawals without trading. Calculate currency conversion, payment method, holding period and software costs separately. A small successful withdrawal does not establish the conditions of every future withdrawal.
Entity, residence and risk
Read the entity named in the account agreement. A licence or protection described for one group company is not a promise to customers of another. At HFM, regulated entities must be distinguished from incorporation in St Vincent; incorporation there is not a local forex licence. Choosing Hebrew or English does not determine residence or eligibility.
CFDs do not confer ownership of the underlying asset, and leverage can accelerate losses. Margin requirements, close-out and negative-balance treatment depend on the account framework. A maximum-leverage headline is not a reason to choose a broker, nor a figure applicable to every instrument and customer.
Where each option fits a shortlist
FxPro is a useful starting point for traders requiring cTrader or execution from TradingView who want to calculate commission by USD notional. HFM is a useful starting point for comparing several MT4/MT5 account structures, including Cent with its different contract size. These are workflow considerations, not promises of results.
If you already use MetaTrader and need no additional connection, start with your own trade scenario: pair, size, holding period and conversion costs. Check the same list in both accounts. Anyone still unable to define risk per trade can practise the process before paying or depositing.
Checks before deciding
Record the entity, account type and platform, then calculate a complete trade in comparable units. Check overnight funding and the availability of the connection you will use. If a condition is unclear, do not replace it with an assumption of free service or guaranteed eligibility.
Use the comparison table alongside the reviews, and the HFM versus FP Markets comparison for another option. Decide on the specific product and account, within an amount you can afford to lose.
