What the comparison is based on
All figures here come from the official pages of both exchanges: the KCEX fee article and fee calculator, and the MEXC fee and deposit-and-withdrawal guides. Both exchanges note that rates can change. KCEX says rates for some pairs vary due to promotions, and MEXC says rates may vary by country, region and trading pair. So the comparison shows the published base rates, and the figure that counts is the one shown on your own trading screen.
Spot fees
On KCEX the spot maker fee is 0% and the spot taker fee is also 0%, according to its fee article and fee calculator. On MEXC, according to its fee guide, the spot maker fee is 0% and the taker fee is 0.05%. The difference shows mainly in market orders, which execute as taker. On a 1,000 USDT trade, a 0.05% taker fee is 0.5 USDT. MEXC notes that unfilled or cancelled orders carry no fee. For limit orders that rest in the book, both exchanges publish 0%.
Futures fees
For futures, KCEX publishes a 0% maker fee and a 0.01% taker fee. MEXC publishes a 0% maker fee and a 0.02% taker fee. So on both exchanges maker orders are free according to the pages, and the KCEX taker fee is half that of MEXC. MEXC offers a 20% trading fee discount to holders of its MX token who transfer it to their spot or futures account, and notes that rates improve with trading volume. KCEX does not describe such tiers on its fee page. Keep in mind: crypto prices are highly volatile, and leveraged futures trading can quickly lead to losing the entire amount you put in.
Deposits and withdrawals
KCEX states that there is no fee for on-chain crypto deposits. For withdrawals, its calculator page states 0 fees on all supported networks, and the help article explains that a fee, where it applies, depends on the coin and network and is shown in the withdrawal window. On MEXC, the deposit and withdrawal guide describes dynamic withdrawal fees that change with network conditions and congestion. A MEXC deposit fee was not stated on the pages we checked. On both exchanges, check the fee in the withdrawal window before confirming.
Identity verification and withdrawal limits
KCEX publishes a daily withdrawal limit of 30 BTC for basic verification and does not describe further levels on its KYC page. MEXC publishes several levels: primary KYC raises the daily withdrawal limit to the equivalent of 80 BTC, advanced KYC raises it to 200 BTC per day, and for institutional users and high-volume traders the limit can reach 400 BTC per day. According to MEXC, primary verification uses a government-issued identity document, and advanced verification adds facial recognition.
How to sign up
Both exchanges have a registration link on our site. These are the site's referral links, and they lead to the official KCEX and MEXC sign-up pages. There is no code to type. On KCEX you register with an email or mobile number, accept the User Agreement and Privacy Policy and complete a short puzzle. All terms and fees are set by the exchanges themselves, so it is worth reading their official pages before your first deposit.
