In short

Registering takes a few minutes. Identity verification (KYC) and security settings take longer, and both are worth finishing before your first deposit. Here's the whole process in order.

Acceptance of Israeli residents not verified.

Signup steps

  1. Go to the site. Use the button to reach Bybit's registration page.

Referral code: BROKERLENS

  1. Choose email or phone. You can register with an email address or a mobile number (with country code). Bybit itself recommends email, since withdrawals require email verification plus Google Authenticator.
  2. Set a password. Pick a strong one you don't use anywhere else.
  3. Enter the referral code. Type BROKERLENS in the Referral Code field. The field is optional, but once the account exists you can't add, change or remove a code. What the code gets you and the conditions are in our referral code guide.
  4. Verify. Complete the captcha and enter the code sent by email or SMS.
  5. Done. Your account is open. Next up: identity verification.

KYC levels and the documents for each

Bybit has three verification levels for individuals. Bybit says at least Standard verification is mandatory to use its products and services.

LevelWhat's required
StandardID document plus a face check (selfie)
AdvancedProof of address
ProEnhanced due diligence (EDD)

Accepted ID: passport, national ID card, driving licence or residence permit issued by your country, showing your photo, name, date of birth, document number and issue date. Visas (student, work or travel) are not accepted.

Proof of address: a utility bill, official bank statement, internet or cable bill, tax return, council/municipal tax bill or a government residence certificate. It must be dated within the last three months and show your full name and address. Mobile phone bills, insurance documents and handwritten receipts are rejected.

Withdrawal limits by KYC level

Per Bybit's KYC FAQ, for non-VIP users:

LevelDaily limitMonthly limit
Standardup to 1M USDTnone
Advanced / Proup to 2M USDTnone

Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. Bybit's FAQ table caps an unverified account at 20K USDT a day and 100K a month; Standard verification raises the daily cap to 1M USDT, and Advanced or Pro to 2M a day. You can view and adjust your withdrawal limit under Account & Security.

Security settings to turn on from day one

All of these live on the Account & Security page:

  • Google Authenticator (2FA). Scan the QR code in the app and enter the 6-digit code. You can't withdraw without it, and Bybit recommends keeping it bound at all times.
  • Anti-phishing code. A word you choose that Bybit includes in every official email and SMS. No code in the message means it isn't from Bybit.
  • Fund password. A separate password from your login, required for withdrawals and P2P trades.
  • Passkey. Sign in with your device's fingerprint or face recognition.
  • Address whitelist and new-address lock. Restrict withdrawals to saved addresses and block withdrawals to any newly added one. Details in our withdrawal guide.

Changing or resetting your password locks withdrawals for 24 hours, so finish your setup before you deposit.

First deposit options

  • Transfer crypto from a wallet or another exchange. Bybit charges nothing. Pick the coin and network, copy the deposit address and send on exactly the same network.
  • P2P in ILS. Bybit has announced ILS support on P2P. You buy USDT from a seller and pay them directly. Steps in our Bybit P2P in ILS guide.
  • Card. Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay, from $10 to $10,000 per transaction. Non-EU cards cost close to 3%. See the fees guide.
  • Direct fiat deposit. Depends on currency and payment method. Bybit's help pages list no direct ILS deposit; the usual route is P2P.

Limitations

  • You can't add a referral code after the account is created.
  • No product access without Standard verification.
  • Any password change blocks withdrawals for 24 hours.
  • Card deposits with non-EU cards are relatively expensive.

Trading crypto and derivatives carries a high level of risk, and you can lose all the money you put in.

Can I add a referral code after signing up?

No. Bybit says a referral code can't be added, changed or deleted once the account is created, so enter it on the signup form.

Email or phone?

Either works. Bybit recommends email because it's needed to confirm withdrawals.

How long does KYC take?

According to Bybit, verification usually takes about 15 minutes and at most up to 48 hours. A clear, valid document that matches the details you typed speeds things up.

What counts as proof of address?

A utility bill, bank statement, municipal tax bill or government document from the last three months showing your full name and address.

What's the daily withdrawal limit?

Up to 1M USDT a day with Standard, up to 2M with Advanced or Pro, with no monthly cap.
