MEXC vs Binance: spot fees, futures and the withdrawal route
Compare a defined transaction: standard spot schedules, BTCUSDT futures on web and app, API pricing, funding and wallet transfers. Worked costs and account checks for a practical comparison.

Start with the product you want
A MEXC vs Binance comparison starts with one transaction: buying spot bitcoin, trading an order book frequently or holding a derivative. Each has a different cost and risk structure. For a spot purchase, establish how much BTC will be credited and how much you can withdraw. For futures, identify exposure, collateral and the settlement asset. A BTC derivative position does not create a withdrawable BTC balance.
If you already hold assets on either exchange, moving to the other introduces transfer costs and execution risk. A small commission advantage can disappear in one withdrawal. Compare the same size, pair and execution method, including the exit route. The MEXC review provides additional context; account acceptance and product access still require individual checks. Crypto can lose a substantial part of its value, including the entire investment.
Spot fee schedules and their exceptions
These public standard spot rows provide a starting point before personal benefits:
Scroll the table horizontally to read every column.
| Route | Maker | Taker |
|---|---|---|
| MEXC standard spot, published fee guide | 0% | 0.05% |
| Binance standard Regular User row | 0.1% | 0.1% |
| Binance BNB-payment column in that row | 0.075% | 0.075% |
MEXC has Special Rate and 0 Fees pairs. Binance has promotions and a separate USDC column. A standard row does not cover every pair. BNB deductions require the relevant setting and sufficient balance; holding a discount token introduces its own price exposure. Check the row applicable to your pair and account before submitting, then reconcile the actual fee in completed fill history.
A worked spot round trip
Assume a 2,000 USDT spot purchase followed by a sale of the same value, both filled as taker. This fixed-price illustration excludes spreads, market changes and transfers. At MEXC's 0.05% rate, commission is 1 USDT each way, totaling 2. At Binance's 0.1% rate, it is 2 each way, totaling 4. If the 0.075% BNB column applies, the equivalent total is 3 USDT, although the charge itself may be taken in BNB.
The difference against Binance's standard row is 2 USDT. Extra entry slippage of 0.1% on 2,000 already equals 2 USDT. The fee table alone cannot guarantee a cheaper execution. Recalculate the exit commission if the sale value changes. If the purchase fee is deducted in BTC, use the credited net quantity when planning a withdrawal.
Maker pricing requires an order to rest
A limit order can immediately match an existing offer and pay taker fees. Execution determines the classification. A limit price by itself does not guarantee maker treatment. Read the order details and fill history on both exchanges, especially for an order filled in several parts.
If you can wait, choose an acceptable price and examine post-only functionality where the product offers it. Establish whether an order crossing the book is canceled, rejected or handled differently. A low fee on an unfilled order is not a realized saving. If an exit must happen promptly, budget for taker execution as well. For a larger order, inspect multiple price levels rather than assuming the first displayed offer covers the full size.
Card purchases and quick conversions need separate quotes
A Buy Crypto or Convert screen can quote a different all-in price from an order-book trade. On either exchange, examine the actual offer available to your account: billing currency, payment provider, delivered quantity and separate charges. A low spot commission does not establish a cheap card purchase.
If the route requires buying USDT before BTC, include that conversion and any intervening transfer. Compare net BTC for the same total debit. Ask the card issuer about currency conversion or special transaction charges, without assuming a particular card or bank will support the purchase. A route absent from your account cannot be priced as an available alternative.
BTCUSDT futures on MEXC web and app
MEXC's published guide lists 0% maker and 0.02% taker for BTCUSDT perpetual futures traded through its website or app. These describe that product before personal conditions or promotions. They are not universal rates for all contracts, Coin-M or API execution. Opening and closing fills are charged separately on their executed value.
For Binance, read your selected contract's applicable USDⓈ-M account fees. The spot row above cannot price this trade. Put both applicable rates beside the same position value and fill type, then compare collateral, maintenance requirements and liquidation rules. The MEXC futures guide explains USDT-M versus Coin-M and how settlement changes the loss calculation.
API execution changes the calculation
MEXC's API announcement sets an after-adjustment futures schedule of 0.06% maker and 0.08% taker for covered pairs, excluding Innovation Zone. This separate schedule takes precedence over web/app rates, zero-fee events and MX deductions. Hypothetically, a 10,000 USDT maker entry and equal-value taker exit cost 6 + 8 = 14 USDT before funding.
Do not budget a bot using manual BTCUSDT rates. Even when a tool has a simple interface, establish how it sends the order. For Binance, check the account fee applicable to that product and execution route. Compare actual fills and include any tool subscription. Know how to revoke API access and limit permissions to the functionality required.
Funding and holding time can outweigh commission
Perpetual contracts exchange funding between longs and shorts. Positive funding on MEXC charges longs; negative funding reverses the payment. A hypothetical constant 10,000 USDT position at 0.01% costs 1 USDT at one settlement. The calculation uses full exposure even when deposited margin is much smaller.
On each venue, check the contract's rate, settlement time and payment asset. Rates and intervals can change; today's display is not a guaranteed monthly cost. Liquidation can occur before a simple calculation exhausts all starting margin. Cross can expose shared balances, while isolated positions require checking margin additions too. A stop order does not guarantee an exit price.
Plan the withdrawal before depositing
Identify the asset remaining after trading, the transfer network and the destination's support for that exact asset and network. For BTC going to a bitcoin wallet, verify the supported Bitcoin route. A token tracking BTC on another network requires different support. For USDT, the network choice is particularly important.
Include minimum withdrawal size, the platform charge and the quantity delivered. Verify the full receiving address and any memo or tag required for the particular asset and destination. A test transfer above the minimum can expose an error before a larger transfer, but also incurs costs. Trading credit does not necessarily mean immediate withdrawal permission. If funds are delayed, preserve the transaction identifier and check exchange processing separately from blockchain status.
Account security and product access
Before sending money, confirm account approval, truthful residence information and access to the specific product and payment route. A translated interface or country dropdown is not acceptance. Completing identity verification does not guarantee every feature. MEXC's terms allow restrictions by product, region and user; absence from a particular prohibited list does not establish Israeli eligibility.
Keep the contracting entity and terms supplied to you on either exchange. Enable strong authentication and understand account recovery before you need it. Exchange custody depends on the provider honoring withdrawals. Self-custody makes you responsible for keys and backups. Neither arrangement removes price risk.
Make the decision using your actual route
For a spot buyer, the practical question is where the desired net quantity can be obtained through a usable funding and withdrawal route. MEXC's published standard commission is lower than Binance's standard row, but execution and surrounding costs determine the result. If your assets are already on Binance, calculate the cost of moving before acting on a small fee difference.
For futures, compare contract and account conditions; for a bot, add API pricing. You can stop before depositing if the terms do not fit. Keep a short comparison of total debit, each fill's value and the asset delivered on exit. Reconcile the completed transaction with that budget. The MEXC fee guide explains these cost layers further.
Is MEXC cheaper after withdrawal?
Not necessarily. Price the same purchase and subtract commission and withdrawal charges from the delivered quantity. A fixed charge can decide a small purchase; fill types matter more with repeated trading. Compare quotes as close together in time as practical.
Does a zero-fee event include funding?
A trading promotion does not remove perpetual funding. Read pair and account conditions, then calculate funding, liquidation and withdrawal charges separately. Receiving funding at some settlements does not establish a guaranteed return.
Can an Israeli resident use both?
Each provider's current customer and product checks determine access. Confirm account acceptance, service restrictions and an exit route before depositing. This comparison does not promise acceptance for a particular Israeli resident or equal access to spot, derivatives and payments.
