RoboForex or Exness: compare an account and a trade

Start with the currency pair and execution account. RoboForex offers spread-based Pro pricing, plus Prime and ECN with commission based on USD turnover. At Exness, compare Standard and Raw Spread. Similar names do not establish equal costs or admission conditions.

This comparison covers international leveraged forex using EUR/USD examples and a USD account. Published tariffs, calculation assumptions and executable prices are separate. Set your quantity and holding period before comparing fees.

The contracting company defines the offering

This RoboForex offering is RoboForex Ltd in Belize, which states FSC licence 9759600. Do not import another similarly named company's terms. Identify the legal company separately from reading an EUR/USD specification.

Exness's international site names Exness (SC) Ltd in Seychelles, Exness B.V. in Curaçao, Exness (VG) Ltd in the British Virgin Islands, Forexite Ltd in Belize and Exness (MU) Ltd in Mauritius. Its shared table does not establish which company contracts with each applicant. Read the actual agreement. A foreign licence neither establishes acceptance elsewhere nor protects against market losses.

Pro, Standard and Raw use different pricing units

Combine the spread and commission before comparing costs. A minimum spread and a published average describe different things.

The Exness figures are account-level terms, without a verified simultaneous EUR/USD average. They are not measurements from the same trading window as RoboForex's published averages.

A million dollars of turnover is not one lot

RoboForex defines one standard EUR/USD lot as 100,000 euros. At a hypothetical rate of 1.1000, that is 110,000 USD per side. Prime's 10 USD-per-million rate gives 1.10 USD on that single-side volume; ECN's 20 USD rate gives 2.20 USD.

Booking time matters when reading the statement. RoboForex's FAQ describes charging both entry and exit upfront on MT4, while MT5 charges at entry and at exit. An opening commission line can therefore already contain both sides. Establish what is included before doubling it.

Exness Raw Spread uses a published USD-per-lot-per-side unit. Use the selected instrument's applicable commission, up to the account table's ceiling, rather than substituting Prime's turnover-based rate.

An example for 0.10 EUR/USD lot

Assume a USD account, 0.10 lot representing 10,000 euros, and a hypothetical 1.1000 rate at entry and exit solely to calculate turnover. Each side is worth 11,000 USD; combined turnover is 22,000 USD. One pip at this quantity is worth 1 USD.

Prime commission is 22,000 × 10 ÷ 1,000,000 = 0.22 USD for the round trip. Assuming a constant 0.1-pip spread adds 0.10 USD, giving 0.32 USD. With ECN's rate, commission becomes 0.44 USD; the same assumed 0.10 USD spread makes the total 0.54 USD.

For Exness Raw Spread, if the applicable tariff is 3.50 USD per lot per side, commission is 0.10 × 3.50 × 2 = 0.70 USD. A hypothetical 0.1-pip spread makes 0.80 USD. These are fixed-assumption calculations before financing and slippage, not quotations or a broker ranking.

When a separate commission pays for itself

At 0.10 lot in this example, every pip of spread costs 1 USD. A 0.70 USD Raw round-trip commission requires a 0.7-pip spread saving against a commission-free account to break even before financing and slippage. A hypothetical 0.8-pip Standard spread and 0.1-pip Raw spread therefore both produce 0.80 USD.

Apply the same method to Pro and Prime using the correct turnover. Changing spreads or overnight holding can change the answer. Compare the hours you actually intend to trade, including volatile periods. The Raw account break-even guide explains how to reuse the calculation.

Account currency and product change the calculation

The examples use a USD account to keep pip value and commission in one currency. Prime lists USD, EUR and GOLD account currencies; that does not mean every account statement books every charge in dollars. With another account currency, check conversion and statement units. A pair whose quote currency is not USD also needs the appropriate pip-value calculation.

Identify the precise symbol. Exness describes its forex offering as CFDs on currency pairs. RoboForex also offers the separate R StocksTrader platform and product range, where a share must be distinguished from a share CFD. An EUR/USD tariff is not a stock, gold or cryptocurrency tariff. Readers seeking asset ownership should establish the product type before choosing by spread.

A minimum deposit is not a trade budget

Prime advertises a 10 USD minimum deposit and maximum leverage of 1:300. These are different conditions. A hypothetical 0.10 EUR/USD lot at 1.1000 creates 11,000 USD of exposure. A simple 1:300 margin model requires 11,000 ÷ 300, approximately 36.67 USD before costs. A 10 USD deposit would not cover that example.

For Exness, check the minimum for the selected payment method and account, then the instrument's actual margin requirement. A high-leverage headline does not establish eligibility for that setting. An adverse 20-pip move on 0.10 EUR/USD lot is a 20 USD price loss even when initial margin is smaller. The position-size and margin guide connects quantity with risk.

Forced closure and execution need separate checks

Prime lists a 100% Stop Out level. This is a margin-level condition under its account rules, not a promise that the account can lose 100% before intervention. Margin level relates equity to used margin. Hypothetical equity of 100 USD against 100 USD used margin gives 100%, even if the original deposit was larger.

Execution also needs a separate comparison. Exness lists Standard and Raw Spread with market execution; Exness Pro is another account with different execution on some instruments. RoboForex lists Prime with market execution. A stop order does not guarantee a fill at its trigger price during volatility. Match the order, spread and quantity on the same symbol, rather than importing a similarly named account's conditions.

The platform must fit the workflow

RoboForex shows MT4 and MT5 for Prime and ECN, alongside separate R StocksTrader. Exness lists MT4, MT5, Exness Terminal and Exness Trade. Establish that the desired account and symbol work in your chosen environment. A platform name does not establish identical products or automation support.

In demo, practise opening a small quantity, modifying a stop and partially closing. Record remaining quantity and commission entries. A tool assuming commission is booked at entry needs to account for MT4/MT5 differences. Demo practice explains units and actions; it does not validate live execution or withdrawal timing.

Overnight holding can change the cost order

Compare financing for the same direction and holding period. RoboForex's EUR/USD specifications show separate long and short swap fields and a three-day rollover day. Those figures can change. Multiplying nights by one fixed daily charge without checking the rollover schedule can omit a charge.

At Exness, an account table showing swap-free availability is not an automatic exemption for every instrument or customer. Check the conditions applied to the account and symbol. Budget spread, commission and financing together. A position with a low opening cost may cost more over a longer holding period. For a strategy holding several nights, this check comes before a preference for the Raw or ECN label.

Check the route back to your money

Before depositing, record the payment currency and your receiving account. Compare service fees, conversion and method limits. RoboForex advertises withdrawal-commission compensation on three specified Tuesdays monthly; withdrawals may still carry costs.

Exness defines instant as automatic processing; arrival time depends on the method. Its Personal Area shows fees, limits and timing. Withdrawals must reach the customer's own accounts. Establish exit conditions before considering a larger deposit. This comparison does not verify an ILS route, Israeli-card acceptance or a completed customer payment.

Country restrictions come before the tariff

RoboForex says its offering does not target EU/EEA or UK clients, and its non-exhaustive restricted-territory list includes the USA, Canada, Japan and Australia. Exness's international site says the listed companies do not serve residents of specified jurisdictions including the USA, Canada, Iran, North Korea, Europe and the UK, as well as Russia and Belarus.

These lists are not personal approval for an applicant whose country is absent. In particular, Israel's omission does not establish acceptance for a specific account and product. The language of this comparison does not determine residence. The RoboForex Israel guide and account-check guide separate company, residence, identification and payment questions.

How to choose, and when to stop

For forex costs in MT4 or MT5, start with Prime and ECN against Standard and Raw Spread, then complete one calculation covering pair, quantity, entry, exit and financing. Readers preferring spread-based statement pricing can examine Pro and Standard without assuming they are cheapest. The RoboForex account guide also explains the cent-account distinction.

If the contracting company, residence acceptance or commission units remain unclear, stop before paying and request clarification for the exact account. Continuing in demo or examining a different product remains an option. Leveraged trading can consume the full account balance; a small fee saving does not compensate for a position size whose potential loss you cannot bear.

Questions before choosing

Is Exness Standard cheaper than RoboForex Pro? A from-0.2-pip figure cannot settle a comparison against a 1.3-pip average. Compare the same pair and trading hours, then add financing and other charges.

Does a zero spread make the trade free? The reviewed accounts advertising spreads from zero also charge commission. Even without a separate commission, spread, financing and conversion can apply. Calculate a complete round trip.

Can the same example price a partial close? Split the position into its actual closing quantities. Exit turnover and exchange rates can differ from the example's single closing transaction.

Does a promotion change account costs? Read the specific programme rules. A bonus limited to Pro or ProCent does not automatically reduce Prime costs, and a referral link alone is not evidence of a valid coupon.

About the provider

At Belize-based RoboForex Ltd, Prime requires a $10 minimum deposit and quotes commission of 10 USD per million USD of turnover, alongside spreads from 0 pips and leverage up to 1:300. A million dollars of turnover is not one lot: an EUR/USD lot is 100,000 euros. Leverage magnifies losses; the provider’s risk warning reports that 75.85% of retail accounts lose money.
